Clifford Robinson, who started his career as a student-athlete at UConn in 1985, has died. He was 53.
Robinson helped lead the Trail Blazers to 2 NBA Finals and also won the 1993 Sixth Man of the Year Award.

A native of Buffalo, New York, he was selected as an All-Star once, in 1994. Nicknamed “Uncle Cliffy,” the versatile player retired in 2007.
The beloved player could play several positions and brought a jolt of energy to the court whenever he entered the game.
