
Speaking from the White House Rose Garden on Tuesday, Melania Trump expressed sympathy to the Americans who have lost loved ones to the COVID-19 pandemic.
She acknowledged the grim toll of a public health crisis, pledging that “Donald will not rest until he has done all he can to take care of everyone impacted by this terrible pandemic.”

In her 26-minute speech, the first lady recalled growing up in Slovenia and dreaming of becoming a US citizen.
Unlike often aggressive speeches by two of Trump’s children, she brought a soft touch to her keynote address.
