Michelle Obama, the former first lady of US bashed Donald Trump at the opening of the Democratic National Convention.
According to Michelle, Trump is the “wrong president for the country” who is “clearly in over his head”.
The four-day convention was at first scheduled to happen in Wisconsin but keeping in mind Covid-19, it was started virtually on August 17.
Senator Kamala Harris, 55, is ready to take the formal nomination by the DNC as the first-ever Black as well as the first-ever American of Indian and African descent as a vice presidential candidate by a major political party.
Obama addressed the convocation and said bluntly that Donald Trump is the wrong president for the US.
According to her, Trump had more than enough time to prove that he can do the job, but he is clearly in over his head.
“Trump cannot simply meet this moment. He clearly cannot be who we need him to be for us. It is what it is,” Obama said on the opening night of the 2020 Democratic National Convention.
She also stated that some people might unhear or ignore her message as it is the nation that is deeply divided, and she is a Black woman speaking at the Democratic convention.
As per Obama, a president’s words have the power to move markets. They can initiate wars or broker peace. They can summon our better angels or awaken our worst instincts.
