In a stunning public allegation, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk claimed on Thursday that United States President Donald Trump is part of the infamous Jeffrey Epstein files — and that’s the real reason the documents have not been made public.

“Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!” Musk posted on X (formerly Twitter).

He followed up with another remark, writing: “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”

The relationship between Trump and Musk, once publicly cordial, appears to have fully fractured. On the same day, Trump acknowledged Musk’s frequent criticism of his policy initiatives, telling reporters, “Elon and I had a great relationship. I don’t know if we will anymore… I’ve helped Elon a lot.”

Musk responded by saying, “Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate,” accusing Trump of showing “such ingratitude.”

This exchange comes as the long-sealed court documents in the Jeffrey Epstein case — which were partially unsealed last year — have already revealed the names of over 100 individuals, including high-profile figures like Prince Andrew and Bill Clinton. The documents relate to a 2015 defamation lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell and were released by court order.

While many listed individuals have denied involvement, and not all names imply direct criminal connection, Musk’s bold accusation now drags a sitting US President into the explosive saga.
