It has been reported that several allies of former President Donald Trump, including Rudy Giuliani, who now faces criminal charges for helping him try to overturn the 2020 election results, were never paid by Trump’s political operation for their work in late 2020.

According to the House Committee, that’s despite their lawsuits and false allegations of election meddling, which helped the Trump campaign and allied committees raise $250 million in the weeks after the November vote.

According to reports, Trump and Rudy Giuliani had an agreement where it was agreed that Giuliani and his team would get paid by the Trump political operation for their post-election work.

But, according to campaign finance records, that pledge was never fulfilled by the Trump campaign and its affiliated committees. The records show that Giuliani’s companies received travel reimbursements and not $20,000 per day he had been asking for.

Kerik, a member of Giuliani’s team tweeted a post, complaining and said, “Lawyers and law firms that didn’t do s— were paid lots of money and the people that worked their ass off, got nothing.”

Donald Trump’s history of not paying the bills is long. But even more startling is the fact that he was probably stiffing his longtime friend, Giuliani.

Criminal or not, it is undeniable that Giuliani and his team did a lot of legal and PR work for Trump. For more than two months, Giuliani was the public face of Trump’s election challenges, which ultimately failed.

According to the final congressional report, these challenges helped Trump and his allies raise an unprecedented $250 million from small-dollar donors in the weeks following the November election.

The funds were raised as a response to numerous appeals, which argued that it was necessary to fund Donald Trump’s legal challenges against his election. But the money went to Trump’s leadership PAC, Save America, instead of paying the lawyers who tried to reverse his defeat.
