Two new oil and gas fields discovered by Saudi Aramco

World’s biggest oil exporter Saudi Aramco has discovered two new oil and gas fields in the northern regions of the kingdom, Saudi Arabia’s energy minister said.

World’s biggest oil exporter Saudi Aramco has discovered two new oil and gas fields in the northern regions of the kingdom, Saudi Arabia’s energy minister said, state news agency SPA reported.

The energy minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al-Saud said the new Abraq al-Toloul oil field flows with a daily rate of 3,189 barrels per day (bpd), along with 3.5 million cubic feet of natural gas.

The discovery comes at a time when oil and gas producers across the globe are reeling under a COVID-19-led decline in energy demand, reflecting a devastating year for oil markets and the global economy at large.

The Saudi state energy company also reported a 50% fall in net income for the first half of its financial year.
