Twitter is all set to introduce its new badges for users, businesses and government organizations, and personalities. The blue badge will be provided to iPhone users at $8 for the web and $11 for the App per month. According to The Information, business organizations can get a golden badge for $1000 as a monthly subscription fee failing to pay, the badge will be removed. Elon Musk’s Twitter will also charge an extra $50 for a golden badge on each affiliated account of a brand. Currently, Twitter has verified governmental organizations and political personalities to provide their accounts with a grey badge.

Although Twitter has made no official statements on the launch of this feature and its date, it has sent out emails to businesses stating the requirements for access to it.

Apart from this new feature, Twitter also plans to relaunch the ‘automated labels’ to provide clarity for bot profiles. This will allow users to know that the content is bot-generated, not by a human. This feature is currently under testing and is visible on the account profiles under profile names and handles.

February 3, 2023, Twitter CEO, Elon Musk tweeted that the microblogging company is ready to share its ad revenue with the “Twitter Blue Verified” creators for advertisements that appear in their reply threads.

As of now, the annual Twitter Blue subscription price is $84 with a discount of $8 for users. Twitter stated that it will allow a discount to web users only from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia.
