Former US President Donald Trump announced that the United States and Uzbekistan have reached what he described as an “incredible” trade and economic agreement. Under the deal, Uzbekistan will invest and purchase goods worth $35 billion over the next three years, with a long-term commitment exceeding $100 billion within the next decade across key American sectors.
According to Trump’s post on Truth Social, the collaboration will cover industries such as critical minerals, aviation, auto parts, infrastructure, agriculture, energy, chemicals, and information technology.
“I want to thank Uzbekistan’s highly respected President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. We look forward to a long and productive relationship between our countries,” Trump wrote.
The announcement underscores growing US engagement with Central Asia as both nations aim to strengthen economic and strategic ties.
