Iran has said it has formally presented its response to recent United States proposals through a Pakistani mediator, while dismissing growing media speculation surrounding the contents of the negotiations.

According to statements made by the spokesperson of Iran’s Foreign Ministry, several domestic and international media reports had circulated claims regarding the latest US proposal, including allegations that Tehran was asked to remove enriched uranium materials from the country, limit its enrichment rights or accept a reported $25 billion American offer.

The Iranian spokesperson said these reports and speculations were being discussed publicly following the exchange of proposals between Tehran and Washington through diplomatic mediation channels involving Pakistan.

The remarks come amid continuing indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States over Tehran’s nuclear programme, sanctions relief and regional security issues linked to tensions in West Asia and the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran has repeatedly stated in recent days that uranium enrichment and nuclear technology remain non-negotiable sovereign rights. Tehran has also insisted that any future agreement must include the removal of sanctions imposed on the country.

Media speculation intensified after reports from Iranian and international outlets suggested Washington may be considering temporary relief related to oil sanctions and restrictions enforced by the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) during ongoing negotiations.

However, no official US confirmation has been issued regarding the reported details linked to sanctions waivers, uranium stockpiles or financial proposals.

The negotiations are taking place against the backdrop of heightened regional tensions involving Iran, Israel and the United States, with concerns continuing over maritime security, crude oil supplies and military escalation in the Gulf region.

Diplomatic observers say Pakistan’s involvement as an intermediary reflects growing regional efforts to prevent further deterioration in the security situation and revive channels for dialogue between Tehran and Washington.

No final agreement has yet been announced by either side.
