According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Saudi’s Ministry of Interior has declared that it had sentenced 81 individuals to capital punishment; they were convicted for crimes involving terrorism and capital crimes.

Not one but these 81 individuals were executed for various major offences from murdering women, children, and men, kidnapping, brutal torture and rape, smuggling arms and bombs into Saudi Arabia to pledging allegiance to terrorist organizations like the AL Qaeda, Daesh, and the Houthis. They also travelled to nearby conflict areas to participate in the terrorist groups.

Their offensive acts also extended to bringing down government officials and crucial economic sites, killing law enforcement officers and enacting like them later. They have been proven guilty of planting land mines in police vehicles.

A total of 13 judges chaired their trials in the Saudi courts and each individual’s trial ran across 3 phased trails. Each convict had the right to an attorney and was given full rights under the laws of Saudi Arabia during their judicial proceedings.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will increase its strict vigilance and will not tolerate any terrorism or extremist schools of thought that will threaten Saudi’s or global peace and stability. Of the 81 convicts, 1 was Syrian, 7 were from Yemen and the remaining 73 were local Saudi citizens.

SPA also stated that the Saudi courts have surpassed their last year’s record of executions in one day. The whole of 2021 Saudi had executed 69 convicts when compared to 81 in a day.
