The Russia-Ukraine crisis enters the 47th day of war and Ukrainian troops gave Russian troops a very tough battle resulting in Russian troops failing to capture Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital city.
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said, “The war is not over yet, Russia will now spread towards the eastern zone of Ukraine under Russian President Putin’s orders. This invasion will be closely guided by the Russian war veteran and military chief – General Alexander Dvornikov.”
Moscow’s Kremlin has been slapped with over 5000 war crimes in a span of 6 weeks of the offensive which includes rape and mass massacre.
In his late-night address, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy warned his nation and said, “Next week will be the most dangerous and crucial week. Russian troops will encroach the eastern zone of our nation.”
Zelenskyy further laid allegations on Russia of hiding war crimes and brushing off evidence as tampered ones. Zelenskyy said, “When heartless people don’t own up to their mistakes and realize what they have done, they turn into gruesome monsters. When everyone around them ignores the atrocities, they feel everyone has to mold themselves to this new monstrous world order. My nation will strive to stop all of this.”
He further added, “Soon a day will come when Putin has to speak the truth.” Zelenskyy requested the West and their allies to provide as much support in terms of artillery, and military troops as they could to Ukraine.
He also spoke with Olaf Scholz, German Chancellor on how to increase the severity of sanctions on Russia and to bend it to accept peace.
“I am very happy to see Germany’s support towards Ukraine, I welcome this alliance and it is the best decision.” Zelenskyy mentioned.
