Kyiv, Oct 15: The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Russian forces launched 113 drone attacks overnight, marking one of the heaviest single-night assaults in recent weeks. The attacks originated from multiple regions, including Millerovo, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, according to an official military statement.
Ukraine’s air defense systems successfully intercepted or neutralized 86 drones across the north, south, and east using a combination of aviation units, anti-aircraft missile systems, electronic warfare technology, and mobile fire groups.
Despite the strong defense, 26 drones struck their intended targets at 11 different locations across Ukraine, causing damage to infrastructure and residential areas.
The overnight barrage highlights the intensifying drone warfare between the two countries, as Russia continues to deploy a mix of reconnaissance and attack drones to exhaust Ukrainian defenses and disrupt critical energy and logistics facilities ahead of the winter season.
