Soon after Russia declared war against Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced martial law across the nation and instructed its citizens to not panic.

However, Russian troops are seeking to invade the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky has notified. “Our defenders are giving their beings so that the tragedy of 1986 will not be repeated,” Mr Zelensky tweeted.

“This is a declaration of war against the whole of Europe.” The attack arrives as airborne Russian troops caught Antonov international airport on the outskirts of Kyiv. Russia asserts it has destroyed “over 70 military targets”, comprising 11 airfields.

Ukraine’s armed forces have been ruled to withstand the invasion by inflicting “maximum losses” on the opponent, Major General Valeriy Zaluzhn announced.

Zelensky has announced that Russia was bombing his country’s “military infrastructure” and border guards but persuaded citizens not to panic and vowed victory. In a speech to Ukrainian citizens in Russian, Zelensky announced, “We are working. The army is working. Don’t panic. We are strong. We are prepared for everything. We will defeat everyone. Because we are Ukraine.”
