The United States Indo – Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM), which is a dedicated wing for the Indo-Pacific region, mainly tackles the growing influence of China in all the areas of the South China sea. Even though, China claims nearly all parts of the region, the Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia, and Vietnam, have their disputes with China. India, on the other hand, has been keeping an eye on the Chinese movement in the region and has close ties with the US on the issue.
Singh was received by the commander of the unit, Admiral John Aquilino. “Reached Honolulu in Hawaii for a visit to the Headquarters of United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM). I shall also be visiting the Headquarters of US Army Pacific and Pacific Air Forces, during my brief stay in Hawaii,” Singh tweeted on Wednesday.
Rajnath Singh and S Jaishankar are on a visit to 2+2 bilateral talks in Pentagon. The duo was also present in the virtual meeting of Joe Biden and PM Narendra Modi. The USINDOPACOM shares a broad history of exchanging technology, military drills, and events.
