With over months left to the 2020 US presidential elections, President Donald Trump has been raging at Joe Biden with a wave of accusations, including a series of personal attacks. In the quest to certify Biden’s lack of competency to become the president, Trump stated that Joe Biden would “destroy the country”.

He also alleged that if Biden comes into power, he will “triple the taxes” and “defund the police”. However, the news agency, Associated Press, reported that Biden supports redirecting a part of the police funding to address mental health and to change the prison system.

President Trump also stated that “religion will be gone” if Joe Biden assumes the office of the president. This was stated in reference to Democrats’ ban on mass church services to regulate the spread of Coronavirus in the United States, which is the most effected by the virus in the world.

A variety of polls in the country elucidate the difference between both the candidates and Biden is taking the lead in almost every one of them. When this fact was stated in front of the president, he claimed that the White House data shows him winning nationally and in some of the key states in the country. He called such polls, which show him losing, “fake”.

In this wave of accusations, Trump also challenged the former Vice-President’s cognitive ability. He said “Let Biden sit through an interview like this, he’ll be on the ground crying for Mommy. He’ll say Mommy, Mommy, please take me home”.

In the past, Donald Trump has been reported attacking on presidential candidates in the same manner. A norm for such argumentation was established when stated that Hillary Clinton “lacks the mental and physical stamina to take on the ISIS, and all many adversaries we face”. This comment was made when Clinton came down with Pneumonia during her presidential campaign, as reported by Vogue.

He also made a comment questioning Clinton’s credibility. “I know the guys at the Wall street. They have total control over Hillary Clinton”, he stated in a comment. However, Vogue also reports that while forming the cabinet, a good chunk of Trump’s ministers and secretaries were Wall Street veterans.

The presidential elections are set to take place on November 3 this year in the United States.
