Israel’s Ministry of Health confirmed that 261 victims were admitted to hospitals across the country in a single 24-hour period.
The most severe case involves a person critically wounded by a rocket fired from Lebanon into the northern port city of Nahariya. The same strike killed Uri Peretz, 43, a resident of the city.
The remaining casualties are in mild to moderate condition.
With Iran as the war’s primary theatre, the Nahariya attack is a stark reminder that Lebanon’s front has never gone quiet. For ordinary Israelis in the north, the rockets did not stop and neither did the fear.
