Germany’s Foreign Ministry said Friday that Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul has postponed his trip to Beijing, which had been slated for Monday, October 27. A spokesperson cited difficulties arranging additional high-level meetings beyond a sit-down with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi as the main reason for the delay.

Wadephul had planned to raise Beijing’s support for Russia and other “critical issues,” while also exploring areas for broader bilateral cooperation. New dates for the visit have not yet been announced.
