Elon Musk, the new owner of Twitter, claimed today that a “legacy fault” is to blame for Twitter Spaces’ malfunction, a feature that enables users to have live audio chats on the platform.

Responding to a user who reported a glitch in Twitter Spaces, Musk said, “We’re fixing a Legacy bug. Should be working tomorrow”.

This occurs one day after Twitter terminated numerous journalists’ accounts for covering Elon Musk.

All of the journalists who have been suspended recently wrote about Musk and the platform’s modifications since he acquired it.

Musk posted in response to a Tweet about the account suspensions, “Same doxxing rules apply to “journalists” as to everyone else,” making reference to the doxxing (the sharing of private information) ban on Twitter.

He added: “Criticizing me all day long is totally fine, but doxxing my real-time location and endangering my family is not.”

Despite the fact that the entrepreneur has claimed to be an absolute believer in free speech, Musk’s private jet’s Twitter account that monitored its trips was deleted on Wednesday.

Later, Twitter announced that it has changed its policy to generally forbid tweets from revealing a person’s location in real time.

Since Musk took over as CEO in late October, Twitter has veered from one issue to the next.

Major advertisers were scared away by the billionaire’s claims of free speech, which also attracted the attention of authorities.
