Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Icelandic President Halla Tomasdottir in Beijing on Tuesday, according to a statement from China’s Foreign Ministry.
President Tomasdottir is visiting the Chinese capital to participate in the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women, an international forum focused on gender equality and women’s leadership.
During their meeting, the two leaders discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between China and Iceland, with an emphasis on strengthening collaboration in areas such as sustainable development, clean energy, and gender empowerment.
