“The United Arab Emirates has agreed to host 5000 Afghan nationals evacuated from Afghanistan on their way to third countries. The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced that, following a request from the United States, it would host the Afghans temporarily, after which time they would travel on to other nations,” the ministry said in a statement on late Friday.

Further, the government confirmed that the refugees shall arrive in UAE through US aircraft in the few upcoming days.

The president of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani has said to resign and fled to UAE. Due to the fear of militants, thousands of residents are seeking escape from the company. After the Taliban entered Kabul on August 15 ending the offensive and the US-backed government support.
