Iran has firmly declared that it alone will decide when the ongoing conflict ends, according to Press TV reports. Iranian officials carefully reviewed the recent proposal but rejected it outright, calling the terms too high.

Tehran made it clear it will not allow US President Trump or any outside force to dictate the timing or conditions for ending the war. Instead, Iran vowed to keep defending itself with full determination and strength until it achieves its goals on its own terms, maintaining its sovereignty and resistance against aggression.

War context

When US and Israeli forces launched their first strikes on February 28, the calculation in Washington was straightforward hit hard, hit fast, and force Tehran to the table. Nearly four weeks later, that calculation has not played out as planned.

The weeks that followed brought more strikes, a rising death toll, and relentless international pressure on Tehran to negotiate. Pakistan stepped in as a messenger, carrying Washington’s 15-point ceasefire proposal to Iranian officials. The proposal demanded Iran dismantle its nuclear programme, abandon its regional allies, and reopen the Strait conditions.

Through it all, Iran has not shifted its public posture by a single degree. The same nation that absorbed the opening blows of a US-Israeli offensive is now standing in the fourth week of war, rejecting American proposals, keeping the Strait closed, and telling the world plainly this war ends when Iran decides, and not a moment before.
