The Gentlemen, which is one of the most anticipated OTT shows in the world today, is directed by Guy Ritchie. The show uses his distinctive style of dark humour, stylish crime, and chaotic action in telling the story of an aristocrat’s cannabis empire. Audiences are excited for The Gentlemen season two, which will continue the story with even more absurdities than before, revealing deeper connections between the various elements within the underworld, and containing more family drama than in season one (which had a great deal), and having numerous, unexpected twists all presented in the same high-paced, fast style used in season one to finish the storylines previously introduced. Season two will continue with some of the same actors as last time.
The Gentlemen Season 2: Release Date Speculations
Shooting for the second season started in spring 2025 (was confirmed by them around May of this year). They finished filming ahead of schedule in October 2025, and it was also confirmed that the season will premiere sometime in 2026 — this announcement was made during Netflix’s What’s Next presentation. They still have not set any specific dates for the premiere yet (like a specific month), but there are some hints being made online about mid-late 2026. Also, this would be consistent with other shows’ post-production timelines. The second season release is included with Netflix’s 2026 schedule and will have 8 episodes (the same number of episodes as season 1).

The Gentlemen Season 2: Plot Details
There are still no details on what will happen next, but according to the show’s producers, the storyline continues Eddie and Susie’s “extralegal misadventures,” exploring the criminal underworld of the United Kingdom through the lens of the aristocracy and their involvement in a massive cannabis production facility related to a family’s estate. Expect to see more twists, family drama, and violent/gunplay/gore than before.
However, there was also lots of fun. Season 1 ended with Eddie forming new alliances, including a deal with the devil, which will have consequences that will lead into Season 2 and continue to explore this shady empire. There are also indications of filming internationally in some locations (possibly Italy), resulting in even more chaos than Season 1.
Keep an eye out on Netflix’s official social media outlets for an announcement of when the trailer and release date will be made available! Season 2 is expected to be one of the best returns of 2026 for fans of stylish crime comedies!
