Casey campaign confident despite trailing McCormick in tight Pennsylvania Senate race

As the race for Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senate seat remains too close to call, the campaign of Democratic incumbent Senator Bob Casey, who is currently trailing Republican challenger David McCormick, has expressed confidence in a potential path to victory. In a statement released by the campaign, a spokeswoman emphasized that key votes in areas like Philadelphia are still being counted, which could shift the outcome.

“There are more votes that need to be counted in areas like Philadelphia and it’s important that every legal ballot will be counted,” the spokeswoman stated. “When that happens, we are confident the senator will be re-elected.”

While McCormick is currently leading by a narrow margin, less than 1%, in the ongoing vote tally, Casey’s team remains optimistic about the results as additional ballots are processed.
