Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan is a week away from making his acting debut with the movie Maharaj. However, the film seems to have angered Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). As per the reports of Bollywood Hungama, the organization’s youth wing, Bajrang Dal has sent a letter to its producer, Yash Raj Films, and its streaming giant, Netflix, to request a screening of the film before its global premiere on June 14.

A letter dated June 3 was personally delivered to Netflix and YRF by Gautam Ravriya, coordinator, Konkan region of VHP Bajrang Dal. The letter states that the poster of the film suggests that a Hindu leader is shown in a negative light. Hence, the organisation believes that the film might hurt sentiments of a particular community and also that it might lead to law and order situation.

Towards the end of the letter, Ravriya insisted on arranging a screening for VHP, after which they will decide the future course of action.
