In an unexpected turn of events, the television actress, Malvi Malhotra, known for her role in the serial Udaan, had been stabbed three times with a knife by an alleged Facebook friend in Mumbai. According to a Pinkvilla report, she was stabbed at the Fisheries University Road, Versova. Now, she is under treatment at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. More details about her hospitalization are yet to be known. We hope for her speedy recovery.
India Times reported that Malvi had been friends with the alleged stabber for over a year now. Apparently, the Facebook friend, who is said to be a producer, tried to force Malvi into a marriage. She, however, refused the proposal, filed a complaint against the accused, and blocked all modes of communication.
After she returned from a shoot in Dubai, she rested for a while in her local cafe. On her way back home, she happened to come across the same person. Refusing to engage in conversation, she walked ahead and was stopped when he grabbed her wrist. He then stabbed her on her stomach, right wrist, and the finger on her left hand.
An FIR has been filed regarding the incident. Here’s a Mumbai Police spokesperson on the same: “We have filed an FIR under section 307 and section 354. Further investigation is going on and we will soon arrest the accused.”
