With 59 Chinese apps banned in India, the government of India has taken a huge step towards abrogating the usage of anything that is Chinese in the country.
TIK TOKers and celebrities come in obvious limelight because out of everything it also becomes a monetary loss for them along with the absence of a platform, they used to connect with their fans digitally.
But some of them were a step ahead and deleted the app before the official ban, one of them was Karanvir Bohra. The actor famously remembered as ‘Dhruv’ from ‘Shararat’ in an exclusive interview with Zoom digital revealed he had already detached himself from the application a few days ago, when 20 Indian soldiers were martyred fighting against the Chinese army.
In an interview by zoom digital Karanvir said “A lot of people applauded me for the initiative. A lot of people said what is the big deal? But they do not realise that apart from Instagram or Facebook I get paid through TIK TOK also. I am an influencer on TIK TOK as well. I have lost a lot of campaigns due to that but at the end of the day it is very simple. Ki aap ke ghar mei aapke family ke saath agar koi bhi kuch kharab bolta bhi hai, forget jaan sei marna toh alag baat hai. Agar kuch kharab bolta hai you will disown and disconnect with that person, if he speaks bad about your family. Probably I would go and slap that person and if he hurts my family, I will hurt him twice as much. I am a citizen of this country. The people standing out at the borders are literally my brothers in humanity sense. The relation between my country and China is not good. Why will I have anything to do with them? So, each video I make they get paid, I do not get paid.”
He further explained by saying though his videos were monetised and he was getting paid but a huge part of it was also going to china, a country we as a nation are struggling to have cordial relations with. He further urged his fans to not use Chinese products and instead use Japanese or any other alternative and do the right thing, do what was beneficial and good for their country.
