Surekha Sikri hospitalised after another brain stroke

Bhadhai Ho actress Surekha Sikri rushed to hospital as she had her second brain stroke after 2018. Read for more details.

Veteran actor Surekha Sikri who was seen in Badhaai Ho and Ghost Stories suffered from brain stroke on Tuesday as she was rushed to the Criticare Hospital in Mumbai. Earlier she had survived one brain stroke in 2018 and this is the second time she is going through. The nurse who looks after the veteran actress stated that she is going through financial crisis and has requested to the film industry for help.

The nurse told Navbharat Times about the condition of the veteran actress, “I rushed her to the hospital and she is being currently treated. I couldn’t get her admitted to any other hospital because of high fees. We do not have that kind of money”. The nurse also urged the film industry to provide her with financial aid.
Earlier, the veteran actress had brain stroke in 2018 and fell in the bathroom hitting her head. Last year, in an interview with Hindustan Times she told, “I had a brain stroke ten months ago and I have been recovering since then. I fell down and hit my head in the bathroom while shooting in Mahabaleshwar. I have not been able to work due to my illness. The doctors say that I will be alright soon”.
Surekha Sikri has received National awards for her power packed performance in Tamas, Mammo and Bhadhai Ho. The actress was last seen in Zoya Akhtar’s Netflix stream Ghost Stories which also had Jhanvi Kapoor and Vijay Verma.
