The 1,666 square feet carpet area apartment in the more than 50-year-old Rockside Apartment building near the Arabian Sea. Jhunjhunwala paid stamp duty and registration charges of more than Rs 59 lakh, as per the property registration papers processed by IndexTap.com.

The transaction was registered on March 15, 2024. The apartment includes one covered parking space of approximately 376 square feet.

A message sent to Rekha Jhunjhunwala’s office soliciting her thoughts on the buy did not receive a reply.

The Walkeshwar and Malabar Hill sub-market of the Mumbai residential real estate market were previously India’s most expensive residential areas. T

he ongoing shift in company headquarters to the north has resulted in a lack of premium and luxury projects in the region. Even as the real estate landscape shifts, this purchase exemplifies that luxury residences in the city’s major residential pockets continue to appeal to consumers.
