The majestic ‘bhoomi pujan’ has begun at the Ram Janmabhoomi site in Ayodhya, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also participated. After setting off from the 10th century Hanumangarhi temple, PM Modi reached the Ram Janmabhoomi at around 12 Noon, to offer prayers to ‘Ram Lalla’.
With a feeling of triumph and pride, PM Narendra Modi offered prayers to Lord Ram at the Ram Mandir site, a site which was allotted for the establishment of Ram Mandir as per the 2019 verdict by the Supreme Court.
Prime Minister offered “Sashtang Pranam” (prostration) to the idol of Lord Ram.

After offering prayers to Baby Lord Ram, the Prime Minister moved to the sapling plantation ceremony which was a part of PM Modi’s itinerary. He planted a ‘Parijit’ sapling, a type of night-flowering jasmine plant, which is considered auspicious. This ceremony was performed ahead of the ‘bhoomi pujan’ and laying of the foundation stone at the site of the temple.
