Strands is the New York Times’ latest daily puzzle, offering a fresh twist on the classic word search. It challenges your word-finding skills with a new level of difficulty. If you’re struggling with today’s Strands puzzle, don’t worry—help is here.

How to Play Strands:

In Strands, your goal is to find hidden “theme words” in a grid of letters. You can manipulate the letters by dragging or tapping them to form words. Double-tap the last letter of a word to confirm it. Correct words will be highlighted in blue and won’t be selectable anymore.

Finding non-theme words can be helpful too. For every three non-theme words that are at least four letters long, you’ll earn a hint by revealing the letters of one theme word, which you’ll need to unscramble.

All letters in the grid are used to spell out the theme words, and there’s no letter overlap. Each letter is used exactly once.

The puzzle will also feature one “spangram,” which is a special theme word (or words) that spans from one side of the board to the other. When you find the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.

Try to complete the puzzle swiftly and efficiently to minimize the use of hints.
