Just like Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can sometimes leave you scratching your head. Don’t worry, though—everyone needs a little help now and then. If you’re stumped and looking for the solutions to today’s Strands puzzle, you’ve come to the right place.
How to Play NYT Strands
In Strands, your mission is to unearth the “theme words” concealed within a grid of letters. Move the letters around by dragging or tapping to form words; once you’ve got a word, double-tap the final letter to lock it in. Correct theme words will be highlighted in blue and become unselectable.
Even if you find a non-theme word, it’s still beneficial! For every three non-theme words (at least four letters long) you discover, you’ll earn a hint: letters of one theme word will be revealed for you to unscramble.
Remember, every single letter on the grid is used to form the theme words, with no overlaps. Each letter is used once, and only once.
Each puzzle also features a “spangram,” a special theme word that spans from one side of the grid to the opposite side. When you find the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.
Aim to complete the puzzle swiftly while minimizing the use of hints.
