On July 27, 2015, the former president of India, late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam bid adieu to this world. He suffered a cardiac arrest while delivering an address at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Shillong. Often referred to as people’s president, Dr. Kalam has been loved by people across age groups.

Commonly known as the “Missile Man of India”, Dr. kalam had given birth to a plethora of nuclear projects and gave a niche to the India in terms of Nuclear and missile research. Amongst his incredible list of moves is the much applauded Pokhran-II nuclear testing which echoed the victory of India in terms of becoming an emerging nuclear state.

Being the author of 25 books including “Wings of Fire” and “Ignited Minds”, Dr. Kalam had been a great advocate for education and had always believed in the power of youth in shaping a nation.

On his fifth death anniversary, the internet has flooded with messages and tributes to Dr. Kalam. Netizens have filled twitter with inspirational quotes by him and photos, remembering his legacy.
