Heavy rains continued to lash several parts of Mumbai today, and so has been the situation in suburban regions of Mulund and Bhandup, which has indeed caused waterlogging and traffic congestion.
In order to take a precautionary measure, the BMC has declared holiday for all the schools and colleges in Mumbai for tomorrow, 26 September. The order has been given to both private and government school and colleges.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for heavy rainfall in areas such as Raigad, Pune, and Palghar for the next two days. Meanwhile, Mumbai and Thane are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall.
