In the COVID pandemic when millions of migrant labourers wandered on foot to reach villages and native towns, even the government seemed helpless. But it was one man Sonu Sood who helped as many people as he could to safely reach their home town. But he didn’t stop, he arranged for oxygen cylinders and beds for anyone who asked for help on Twitter and Instagram. Even actor Suresh Raina urged for a bed for his family member and received help from Sonu Sood. His philanthropy gained him the name of hero, messiah and such adjectives. The people of Bihar even inaugurated his statue which made him emotional.
Recently, mountaineer and cyclist, Uma Singh took to twitter when he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. He dedicated his achievement to Sonu Sood and referred to him as a “hero”. In a media talk, he said, “For the first time in my life I have met a real-life hero and I want to do something for him. He stood up for our country in difficult circumstances, regardless of his own life. You are the real hero of our country, Sonu Sood sir, and the elder brother to everyone in India,”
The tweet:
Wowwwww.
Now I can say that I have been to Mt. Kilimanjaro 😄
So proud Uma 🇮🇳 https://t.co/W6qmJthbwn— sonu sood (@SonuSood) August 17, 2021
To Uma Singh’s tribute, Sonu Sood said, “I feel so proud of Uma that he went ahead to achieve something so difficult. It is his hard work and determination that helped him to attain this feat. I feel so moved by his gesture and his words. He is an inspiration for our youth. Such determination at such a young age shows that if our Indian youth fix their hearts at doing something, they will achieve it by all means possible. Congratulations Uma and thank you for your kind words,”
