On Monday, Malvi Malhotra met with an unfortunate stabbing on her way home. The man accused of stabbing her was apparently a film producer, Yogeshkumar Singh, and a Facebook friend of hers for over a year now. Recently, Times of India reported that the stabber met with an accident and is now hospitalized. The Mumbai police have stated that the producer will be arrested as soon as he gets discharged.
On the same night that the actress had been brutally stabbed thrice, the alleged producer had been in a car, attempting an escape from Mumbai. On his way out, he met with an untimely accident at the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway. According to the Times report, the attacker has severe facial injuries and is being treated at a hospital in Vasai, Palghar.
The police shared details about the arrest of the producer, Yogeshkumar Singh. “A team is keeping a watch on Singh. He will be arrested once he gets discharged. We then learned that Singh lost control of his car and it turned turtle on the highway,” a Mumbai Police spokesman said. As per reports, Yogeshkumar had been stalking the Udaan actress for over a year. When he stopped her on her way home, he attempted forcing her into his car and stabbed her after getting annoyed with her refusal.
