IPL 2021: Mumbai Indians call Nagaland leg spinner Khrievitso Kense for trials
IPL 2021 Mumbai Indians: The defending champions surely have best scouts. They have brought raw talent like Pandya brothers, Jasprit Bumrah and Rahul Chahar and nurtured them to their best. The present Champions of IPL 2020 Mumbai Indians have called 16-year-old Nagaland spinner Khrievitso Kense for trials. Kense had an impressive performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy (SMAT) for Nagaland. He played four matches in the tournament and scalped seven wickets.
If the youngster manages to impress MI’s management, he might the first cricketer from North-East to play in the world’s biggest T20 League.
The leg spinner said that a senior official from Mumbai Indians got in touch with him after the SMAT match. he said to Eastern Mirror.
The reigning IPL champions will enter into the auction with a budget of Rs 15.35 crore. They have released four overseas and three Indians players. MI will look to sign a pacer which can be a back up the duo of Trent Boult and Bumrah. BCCI has scheduled the auction on 18th February in Chennai.
