Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar have been dating for more than three years now. The couple filed the application in January for marriage. The day that the fans have been waiting for has finally arrived.
They will be registering in either of their houses, post which a small celebration will be hosted. The court marriage of Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar will take place today, i.e. February 19.
There will be no Marathi or nikah ceremony. The couple will be sharing self-written vows. According to a source, “They wanted to keep it as basic and simple as possible. The guests have also been asked to wear easy colours like pastels and whites for the wedding. There won’t be nikah or marathi wedding. Instead, they have chosen to make it an intimate vow ceremony. Both have written down their vows which they will read out on the main wedding day, which is February 19.”
A video of Shibani’s sisters Anusha Dandekar, Apeksha Dandekar and Shibani’s close friend Rhea Chakraborty dancing at a pre-wedding function was released yesterday.
Post court marriage, a family get together will take place at Javed Akhtar and Shabhana Azmi’s Khandala farmhouse, Sukoon.
According to a source, “Farhan and Shibani always wanted an intimate wedding and are really excited about their big day. The party will be a small affair with only people from their inner circle in attendance. It will all be about food, music, laughter and celebration.”
