The Dream11 IPL has taken an interesting turn towards its final weekend after the Rajasthan Royals defeated Kings XI Punjab in match 50 of the tournament on Friday evening at Abu Dhabi.

Six teams out of a total of eight are still in the position to qualify for the playoffs ahead of the final six games in the IPL 2020 season. Mumbai Indians, who are also the defending champions are top of the table with sixteen points and have already qualified after their victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore in their last game. Chennai Super Kings, who are one of the most successful IPL franchises have no chance of making it to the top 4 with just one game remaining for them.

Sunrisers Hyderabad along with the current top 3; Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore all have 2 matches each remaining in the league stage, with the rest having just one final match left to play.

Saturday(31st October) fixtures:

Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians, 3:30pm IST at Dubai

Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, 7:30pm IST at Sharjah

Sunday(1st November) fixtures:

Chennai Super Kings vs Kings XI Punjab, 3:30pm IST at Abu Dhabi

Kolkata Knight Riders vs Rajasthan Royals, 7:30pm IST at Dubai

Monday(2nd November) Fixture:

Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore, 7:30pm IST at Abu Dhabi

Tuesday(3rd November) Fixture:

Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians, 7:30pm IST at Sharjah

A victory in either one of their final 2 fixtures for both Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore would see the teams qualify for the playoffs as they would reach a total of 16 points. As both the teams face each other on Monday at Abu Dhabi, one of them is sure to qualify for the playoffs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad need to win both of their final 2 fixtures to have a realistic chance of making it to the playoffs. A defeat in any one of their games would see them exiting at the league stage. Likewise, the team which loses the RR vs KKR fixture on Sunday will also exit the tournament post the league stage while the other would hope that results elsewhere work in their favour for qualification.

Kings XI Punjab have their final game against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday and would need to win the match to have any chance of qualifying. A defeat would see them travelling back home after the league stage as well.
