Since the teaser for the most awaited sequel of Mirzapur dropped, fans are going crazy and can’t wait for the show to release. The first season which was released in 2018 received a lot of love and support from the fans. After the teaser release, they have been sharing memes using iconic dialogues from the series. But there are now few people who want to boycott the second season of Mirzapur 2.
Ali Fazal, who plays the role of Guddu Bhaiya in the series is receiving flak over his old tweets supporting NRC protests. The tweet dates back to December 2019, when the protests against NRC CAA were on their peak. He tweeted, “Protests: Suru Majboori Mein Kiye Thhey, Ab Maja Aa Raha Hai!!!” This was what initiated the whole movement of boycotting the show.
A twitter user with the name of ‘@saumyakumary’ went on to write a long note as to why one should not watch the show. She captioned the picture of the note with, “#BoycottMirzapur2 One of the best web series. But desh se badhkar kuch nahi.”
