WhatsApp to introduce ‘My Contacts Except’ privacy feature, Check details here

The privacy feature allows the users to have control over their last seen, status, profile photo, and description on WhatsApp.

Last month, WhatsApp released a new privacy feature, ‘My Contacts Except’ that allows more privacy control to its Android users enrolled in the beta program. As per the reports by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has now released the beta version 2.2149.1 for its web users and is preparing to roll out the privacy feature.

The privacy feature allows the users to have control over their last seen, status, profile photo, and description on WhatsApp. The feature can be accessed under privacy settings. Users can now select the ‘My contacts except’ option that will only allow the users to hide their last seen, status, profile photo and about description from some selected contacts. Earlier, The app already had options like Everyone, My Contacts.

Earlier this week, WhatsApp rolled out beta UWP 2.2148.3.7 on the windows app and added new emojis on the platform. The feature was already available on android and IOS devices. The Facebook-owned platform now also allows its users to create kin tone combinations for the couple emojis on the Windows platform app too.
