𝕏, the social media platform owned by Elon Musk, has announced a significant update to its Creator Revenue Sharing policy, targeting undisclosed AI-generated content related to armed conflicts.

The platform said that creators who post AI-generated videos depicting wars or armed conflicts without clearly disclosing that the content was created using artificial intelligence will face a 90-day suspension from revenue sharing. The move is aimed at curbing misinformation and improving transparency on the platform.

According to the updated guidelines, creators must explicitly label AI-generated visuals, especially when they portray sensitive subjects such as military operations, geopolitical tensions, or active conflict zones. Failure to do so will lead to temporary removal from monetisation benefits under the Creator Revenue Sharing programme.

The decision comes amid a sharp rise in AI-generated war footage circulating on social media. In recent months, manipulated or fully synthetic videos claiming to show clashes in regions such as the Middle East and Eastern Europe have gone viral, often misleading users before fact-checks emerge.
