Twitter likely to get ‘edit button’ post Elon Musk’s deal

On Monday, Elon Musk secured deal to acquire social media giant Twitter for $44 billion. Musk will pay $54.20/ share & the deal is expected to finalize by this year. With this, there are speculations of features such as an edit button to be launched soon.

On April 4, the highest followed businessman, Elon Musk posted on Twitter asking his followers whether they want an edit button? The options of yes & no were misspelt.

The voting number crossed 4 million & majority had supported the idea of an edit button.

According to reports, the edit button will let you edit a tweet which is posted no longer than 1 hour. The edited tweet will also display a blue sign saying ‘Edited’. This same function is available on other social media platforms such as Linked In & Koo.

Apart from the edit button other features such as opening up of Twitter’s algorithm, and features for tackling crypto scams are also expected. Twitter will be in a rush after Elon Musk’s takeover & many big things are expected to be launched on the social media giant.
