Elon Musk announced on Saturday that Donald Trump would be permitted to rejoin Twitter following a poll that the site’s new owner conducted and in which a slim majority of 15 million respondents favoured the idea.
“The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated,” Musk posted on the account of the former US president, whose use was prohibited after a crowd of his followers invaded the US Capitol last year.
