The mission director, S Mohan Kumar, has given the green light for the launch of the LVM3 spacecraft, confirming that all necessary clearances have been obtained. With authorization granted, the automatic launch sequence is now scheduled to commence. The LVM3, a powerful three-stage rocket, is poised for liftoff at 2:35 pm. The initial stage, fueled by solid propellant, will ignite followed by the activation of the second stage featuring the L110 engines approximately 108 seconds after takeoff. The third stage, known as the cryogenic stage, will come to life after 307.96 seconds of flight and propel the rocket for approximately 10 minutes, facilitating its journey into space and placing it in a geotransfer orbit around the Earth. The cryogenic stage employs an indigenously developed C25 cryogenic engine, powered by a combination of liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen. This stage will provide the rocket with a maximum thrust of 10.242 km/sec. With the weather conditions and technical aspects in favorable alignment, the Chandrayaan-3 mission has now entered auto launch mode, poised to initiate at 2:35 pm.
