Paytm Mall’s operation will now be built on the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). Moreover, this will have a greater impact on small enterprises, according to Paytm founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma.
Sharma cited a news item on Paytm Mall’s shift to ONDC. As well as how it plans to pursue prospects in the exports market rather than traditional physical goods e-commerce.
Paytm Mall’s parent company, Paytm E-commerce Private Limited, has an indirect stake in One97 Communications (PEPL).
“We are prepared to build on the pioneering ONDC project by the Government of India. It encourage online commerce in India,” a Paytm Mall official stated.

This move allows the company to build a long-term sustainable business with ONDC. Lest, it will strives to democratize the buying and selling of commodities in the Indian market. As it promote transparency and digital independence for small enterprises.
