OnePlus may soon release its first Android tablet in India: Here is what we know so far

OnePlus may be planning on selling an Android tablet in India shortly, as the OnePlus Pad is presently being tested privately in the nation. According to sources, the OnePlus Pad, codenamed “Aries,” will be introduced alongside the OnePlus 11R in India. With the release of the rumoured OnePlus Pad, OnePlus will join smartphone manufacturers Oppo, Xiaomi, and Redmi in offering Android tablets in a variety of pricing ranges.

According to MySmartPrice, the next OnePlus Tablet, aka the OnePlus Pad, could hit the Indian market very soon as it is being tested internally for the local market. The OnePlus Tab could be the name of the company’s first Android tablet. According to the rumour, the first OnePlus Android tablet will be released in the country alongside the OnePlus 11R in June of this year.

According to the rumour, the future OnePlus tablet could be launched in the low pricing bracket and may be inspired by one of the Oppo tablets, but with a few alterations.

To recap, the Oppo Pad Air was first introduced in India in July of last year, with a starting price of Rs 16,999 for the base 4GB+64GB storage model. The Android tablet is also available in a 4GB RAM+128GB storage option for Rs 19,999. It was only available in one colour: grey.

The Oppo Pad Air was released with the Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1 for Pad on top with a 10.36-inch display with a refresh rate of 60Hz. The screen has a pixel density of 225ppi and a maximum brightness of 360 nits. The tablet is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 680 CPU, an Adreno 610 GPU, and up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM.

The Oppo Pad Air also has a 7,100mAh battery with 18W fast charging capabilities. According to the manufacturer, the battery may provide up to 15 hours of video calling time on a single charge. The tablet boasts quad speakers with Dolby Atmos compatibility for a surround sound experience. The tablet is 440 grammes in weight.
