ChatGPT, the AI chatbot that became very popular worldwide after its release in 2022, is said to be inaccessible for a lot of users. While some claim the website is inaccessible, others report being unable to produce replies. When attempting to use the service on our desktop, the AI chatbot prevented us from entering any prompts and displayed a red message indicating ‘Internal Server Error’.

Per Downdetector, the platform that monitors the online availability of different services, the disruption began around 12 PM IST. The status page of OpenAI indicates that ChatGPT is not accessible to certain users and they are currently looking into the problem.

At the same time, we tried using the chatbot on an iPhone. Nevertheless, it yielded comparable outcomes as it did on the desktop.
Nevertheless, the company did not provide any specific timeframe for when the service would become operational. For those new to it, ChatGPT is a chatbot powered by AI that accepts texts and images as input and allows you to inquire about anything you desire to learn. Shortly after being released in late 2022, the chatbot quickly gained immense popularity, amassing over 100 million users within two months.
We cannot determine the reason for ChatGPT’s ongoing outage. Perhaps the increase in traffic is causing the service to have issues, or there could be another problem at play. Attempting ChatGPT fixes may not provide immediate relief due to the server outage. Only when OpenAI resolves the issue on their end will you see any change. There is also no information available regarding the duration of this outage. As soon as we acquire more information, we will revise this article.
ChatGPT is experiencing its second downtime of the year. On February 14, there was a widespread global outage that affected the chatbot. The power failure began at 8:00 PM IST and continued until approximately 10:30 PM.
