Facebook has filed a legal lawsuit against Compsys Domain Solutions Private Ltd. One of the Facebook’s representative spokesmen made an exclusive press coverage on the matter. He stated that this was done to prevent fraud. Moreover, to stop the malicious use of the company.Lest, these were 12 such domains registered under India-based proxy server.

Facebook claims that the following website domains were impersonating its Apps and deceiving its users. Also, some of the most common fraud domains included facebook-verify-inc.com, instagramhjack.com and videocall-whatsapp.com. The lawsuit against the Mumbai-based company has been filed in Virginia, Facebook said in a statement late Monday.

“We regularly scan the internet for domain names and apps. These infringe on our trademarks. Today’s lawsuit is part of this ongoing effort to protect people. From phishing, credential theft and other methods of online fraud.” Said Facebook. Since, the social networking giant filed a lawsuit. It reached out to Compsys.
