Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla Inc. and Twitter Inc., claimed on Friday that as a result of Microsoft Corporation’s latest investment in OpenAI, the latter company now has “exclusive access to the entire OpenAI codebase.”
Speaking on Twitter on his role in the development of OpenAi, Musk remarked that “As part of their investment, Microsoft gained exclusive access to the entire OpenAI codebase.”

He further tweeted,”I donated the first $100M to OpenAI when it was a non-profit, but have no ownership or control.”
“ChatGPT is entirely housed within Microsoft Azure. When push comes to shove, they have everything, including the model weights,” he continued.
