The difference between a teaser and an Easter egg can be pretty subtle, and that was really clear on Tuesday with the appearance of a necklace in the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6.
A user on the GTA 6 subreddit, as reported by Gamespot, spotted that a necklace shown in the game’s first trailer is now available for purchase in the new Bottom Dollar Bounties update for Grand Theft Auto Online, which introduced bail enforcement on June 25. This necklace, called the “Silver Layered Necklace,” is believed to be one of many items from the upcoming game that has made its way into the online version of the franchise.
It’s probably just an Easter egg or a reused item (it is just a necklace, after all), but with so little information available about what is probably the most eagerly awaited game of 2025, fans are excited about any new details. We know the game is set in a place similar to Florida and is inspired by Bonnie and Clyde. It will also feature a female protagonist named Lucia, a first for the series. Fans with sharp eyes might be able to spot more details if they rewatch the initial trailer.
However, Rockstar Games, the developer, hasn’t shared any gameplay details yet (the first trailer was purely cinematic), and we don’t know if Lucia will have other playable characters like in GTA 5. That’s why fans are on the lookout for any hints or references. Hopefully, we’ll get more information soon before the game’s release sometime next year.
